Butterfly Matrix

The performer introduces a rectangular mat made of the finest artificial grass with four leaves nested upon its center. Four small colorful butterflies are then revealed resting underneath the leaves. They are then individually placed into a separate corner of the rectangular grass mat. The performer then covers each of the four butterflies one at time with one of the four leaves. Then the magic happens! One at a time, the three butterflies vanish from underneath its covering leaf. The leaves are then shown on both sides clearly and plainly, there are no traces of the butterflies. Each of the butterflies takes its invisible flight invisibly through the air to join with the fourth butterfly resting upon its corner of the rectangular grass mat. The spectator is then requested to put both of their hand’s palms up. The leaves are then placed upon one palm of their hand and the four butterflies on the palm of their other hand. The performer then counts the leaves off the palm of their hand one at a time, when the last leaf is counted off, LO AND BEHOLD, A LARGER BUTTERFLY OF A DIFFERENT COLOR HAS APPEARED ON THE PALM OF THE SPECTATOR’S HAND. This illusion is done without any sleights or skill. A close-up illusion designed to delight, mystify and entertain all who behold its performance.
